Orchard Road is the shopping destination in Singapore home to many high fashion stores. The central idea was to enhance the retail experience enabling shoppers to walk from one store to the next seamlessly, by applying the quality and innovation seen in these stores flow out on the road.
Orchard Road Mall is broken up into 3 districts, Tanglin, Orchard and Somerset. In the Orchard zone, a glass forest was envisioned, comprising of botanical images abstracted on 3m high x 1.8m wide, panels of glass to which 24 shards have been produced. Throughout the site, 11 steles were also produced, which represent the history of Singapore, highlighting Orchard Road, facing the street the glass panels convey the people, buildings and rich culture that is Singapore.
